General News Multi-Playlist Support Improved Across Software Pages

2026-07-08
The "Add to Playlist" feature has received a significant quality-of-life update for users managing multiple playlists.

Previously, software pages only interacted with the default playlist. From now on, the system detects tracks across all of your playlists and, when several playlists are available, lets you choose exactly where new tracks should be added.

To make repeated additions easier, you can also ask the site to remember your playlist selection for one hour, allowing you to browse and add multiple tracks without being prompted every time.

This update also includes several improvements to the Public Radio page, such as more accurate Upcoming Track ETAs, enhanced request and special segment information, a new mute button, listener capacity indicators, and more precise audio credits based on each individual track whenever available.

As always, these changes are part of our ongoing effort to make Amiga Paradise more convenient and enjoyable to use while keeping the interface clean and intuitive.

If something looks broken, remember to press CTRL+F5 to hard refresh the website display.

General News Development Journal – Taking a Step Back

2026-06-27
Sometimes, it is important to stop coding for a moment and simply think about where a project is going.
This morning was one of those moments.
For the past few months, I have spent a lot of time improving the YouTube live radio. We solved many problems, built automatic recovery systems, improved stability and made the stream far more reliable than it was at the beginning.
Even though the system now works much better, one thing has become clear over time: running a fully automated 24/7 live stream on a third-party platform is never completely under my control.

And that made me ask myself a simple question:
"Am I spending my time improving Amiga Paradise... or improving YouTube?"
The answer completely changed how I want to move forward.

The Website Comes First
Amiga Paradise has always been the heart of this project.
The music database, the radio engine, the playlists, the requests, the comments and everything else already live here.
The YouTube stream is simply another way to discover the project.
From now on, I want to embrace that idea.
The official radio will gradually become part of the website itself.
Instead of relying on an external platform for the core experience, visitors will simply be able to open the Radio page and listen directly from Amiga Paradise.

What About YouTube?
Don't worry, YouTube isn't going away.
However, I no longer see it as something that has to run continuously every day of the year.

Instead, I'd like to transform it into something more exciting.
Special live events.
Theme nights.
Composer spotlights.
Community request sessions.
Scheduled broadcasts with a beginning and an end.
This approach should make the streams more interesting while allowing me to spend less time maintaining them and more time creating new content for the website.

Building the Future, Step by Step
Nothing will change overnight.
As always, the project will evolve gradually.
The first goal will simply be creating a proper Radio page directly on Amiga Paradise.
Once that foundation exists, new features can be added over time:
- a cleaner and more attractive interface;
- easier music requests;
- public playlists;
- additional community features;
- and many other ideas that have been waiting for the right moment.

Looking Forward
Sometimes a technical challenge teaches you something unexpected.
Trying to build a permanent YouTube radio ultimately reminded me what Amiga Paradise has always been abou…

General News YouTube Radio Stream Improvements

2026-06-21
Over the past few weeks, we have been working behind the scenes to improve the reliability of the Amiga Paradise Radio YouTube stream.

The streaming system is now able to automatically detect most failures and attempt a full recovery without human intervention. This means that temporary interruptions should no longer require manual restarts in most situations.

While occasional outages may still occur due to network issues, external services or unexpected technical problems, the stream is now designed to recover on its own whenever possible.

Thank you to everyone who has been listening, testing and reporting issues during this period. Your feedback has helped us make the service more robust and reliable.

Happy listening!

General News New Public Roadmap Page

2026-05-31
A new Roadmap page is now available on Amiga Paradise.

This page provides a clear overview of the major systems currently available on the website, their development status, and the improvements planned for future updates.

Over the past months, Amiga Paradise has grown significantly, with the addition of user accounts, favorites, playlists, comments, ratings, notifications, the radio system, statistics tools, and many other features. The roadmap offers a simple way to see how the project has evolved and where it is heading next.

As always, the roadmap will be updated whenever important milestones are reached.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in the preservation of Amiga music and history.

New Features Favorites Notifications System

2026-05-20
A new notification system has been added to Amiga Paradise!

Starting today, registered users will automatically receive notifications when new additions matching their favorites are added to the site. This includes composers, groups, developers/publishers and other credited personalities.

The goal is simple: help you discover new uploads related to the people and teams you enjoy most, without having to constantly check the latest additions manually.

If you have not used the favorites system yet, this is a good time to give it a try — simply add your favorite composers, groups or developers while browsing the database and the site will keep an eye on future additions for you automatically.

New Features More Retro Avatars & Multiple Playlist Support

2026-05-13
A new update has just been deployed on Amiga Paradise!

This update introduces a revamped profile avatar system with many new retro-inspired avatars based on classic Amiga hardware, software companies, Workbench icons and iconic game characters. The user dashboard menu has also been reorganized and improved for easier navigation.

We also continued improving the custom playlist system introduced during the previous update, making playlist management more practical and better integrated into the dashboard experience.

As always, more improvements and retro content are coming soon!

General News Major Internal update

2026-05-11
Amiga Paradise has received another major internal update!

Over the past few days, many public pages have been heavily redesigned and modernized, including the search engine, artist/group/company pages, navigation handling, and the brand new database-driven changelog system.

Several interfaces now use improved layouts with better readability, categorized results, zebra-striped listings, responsive information tables and many internal optimizations behind the scenes. The search engine has also been significantly refined and now provides clearer and more intelligent results.

Because a large part of the site's structure, stylesheets and internal scripts have recently changed, some visitors may temporarily experience visual glitches or outdated layouts caused by old cached files stored by their browser.

If something does not display correctly, please force-refresh the page using:

CTRL + F5

This will force your browser to reload the latest versions of all files used by the site.

Thank you for your patience and continued support!
